Mr. Patel has over 29 years of extensive experience in the Railroad and Highway Transit industry in the States of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York & Texas. Transit industry experience has primarily been in the areas of railroad and highway engineering, construction engineering, management and maintenance, including track (mainline, branch & yard) and structures (grade separation & facilities), structural inspection and evaluation of highway and railroad bridge structures and overhead highway signs.

Prior to relocating to Texas in 2001, Mr. Patel has also extensively worked in the areas of design and construction of tracks, bridge & retaining wall structures for the railroad, highways and byways. Mr. Patel has personally led teams for the structural inspection and evaluation of several hundred bridges – railroad & highway, highway overhead sign structures and building facilities.

Mr. Patel has worked for DART and with several Texas regional transit & freight agencies, including TRE, T, DGNO, BNSF & UPRR delivering project management for capital improvement of infrastructure projects, provide design, construction & maintenance support to Stakeholders, TSA and Homeland Security improvements to critical DART facilities, constructability reviews, design peer reviews for outside agencies such as Seattle’s Sound Transit Agency.
